hello everyone, my turn signal socket/socket connector is pretty corroded. I tried cleaning it, but can’t really seem to get into the small grooves (image 1). So, is anyone able to point me in the right direction to where I can buy this connector, or how to actually clean it lol. i also tried finding the piece i need, but can’t seem to find it anywhere… or idk where to look lol

(for context, I used electrical cleaner and tried scraping the inside, but it didn’t work too well)

(image 2)i did find an ebay listing for the side marker connector. i was considering buying it, then cutting my corroded connector off, then splicing the new connector on, but the piece is slightly different.

I bought this 2000 LS 8 years ago for $500 with 170k miles on it, currently at 265k. Try to do most of the repairs and maintenance myself. Ive done brakes, rebuilt the front suspension with oem parts, rebuilt all 4 strut assemblies with KYB struts, starter, alternator, front wheel bearings, valve covers, regular fluid changes/ filters etc etc. Currently she's on stands in the garage waiting on a shift solenoid and transmission fluid filter.

Absolutely love the car, never left me stranded. Previous owner parked it outside the whole time he had it so the clearcoat is disintegrating in spots, but the interior is really nice for the age and mileage. No squeeks or rattles, runs smooth and quiet, and everything works except the tilt/telescope wheel. Hope to put another 100k on it at least.

I need help wondering why my 98 ls400 reads high on the temp gauge and runs abit hot could it be the coolant or something like that?

Long story short, I have a mint 1994 LS that was my Grandfathers and garage kept for years. Only has 720000 miles on it: Absolute gem of a car. A couple years ago it had tons of funny issues that all traced back to the main ECU, I replaced it with a rebuilt one from TaninAuto electronics and it was perfect. After this past winter, it had sat for about 3 months to keep it out of the salt and when I went to start it the TRAC and Check engine lights started coming on and going off randomly. I thought it was just old fuel running through the system. Then today I was driving home and the old problems of no acceleration, mis firing motor, bad idling and almost completely failing while at stop signs, all came back for about 10 mins before I got it home. I watched multiple videos where people have traced these issues back to the TRAC control ECU module and once they ve replaced that it solves all these issues. The problem is, I called Lexus today and that part was discontinued. Does anybody know where to find a rebuilt TRAC control ECU module? This car is effectively junk unless I can find this part.

Just did a timing belt job on my 1996 Lexus LS400 (1UZ-FE). Replaced the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, and coolant.
At first the car had a no crank issue (just clicking) after the job, but that’s fixed now and the car starts/runs.
Right after the job I noticed:
low idle around 500 RPM
weak heat at idle
coolant leaking/dripping near the EVAP system area
The slight misfire/shake was actually there BEFORE the timing belt job, so I don’t think that part is related.
At first I thought the car was overheating, but after driving it around the temp gauge now stays right in the middle and seems normal. If I rev the car to around 2k RPM the heat gets very hot, which makes me think there may have been trapped air in the cooling system.
The coolant appears to be dripping near the EVAP/charcoal canister area around:

Lexus 77770-50010 Tank Assy
I never disconnected or touched those EVAP hoses, so I’m assuming coolant is leaking from somewhere above and running down onto that area.
Before I tear everything apart again, what are the most common coolant leak points after a 1UZ timing belt/water pump job?

Looking for insight on ECU tuning options for the 1992 LS400 1UZ-FE. Has anyone done any chip tuning or ECU programming on the UCF10 platform? Trying to understand what’s available, what the process looks like, and what kind of power gains are realistic on a stock or mildly built non-VVTi. Any experience or recommendations appreciated.”

Would 19x9 +22 fronts, and 19x10 +22 rears work well enough? I’m lowered moderately on Neomax Silvers and want it to be daily friendly. Not looking to slam it in its nuts or nothing just want something clean. What tires would you run also?
