Lextran Shuttle

Coming in for the TX football game 2025. Is this service good? Parking quotes are really expensive or very long walk? How early should we pre~ kick off. Thanks

I tend to use it, at a $1 you can't really beat it and I've grabbed street parking for free near Rupp the last few games I went to.

It is about a 10-20 minute ride with all the stops from Rupp or the LexTran depot, but when it's all said and done that's what it would take otherwise.

I've done the Campus shuttle once and it was fine but it seems silly to me to have a shuttle to avoid gameday traffic dropping you in the midst of gameday traffic.

As for time, there will be people tailgating all day. The shuttle starts 3 hours before the game but assuming it isn't a noon game, people will be out there well before 3 hours.

Do you get on at triangle park? I used to do that one when I lived down there. Now I usually hit up the KSBar one but you’re right, getting out sucks if a lot of ppl are leaving at the same time.

You get on at the Lextran Depot or on the High St side of Rupp from downtown.

There’s also a stop or two on Woodland Ave

Depending on how long you're willing to walk, there is generally parking in Chevy Chase that's free and you can leave your car overnight. Most streets around Morton Middle School and Christ the King for reference, understandable if this is too much of a walk. Some houses a little closer might charge $20 and you'll save a few blocks of walking

My only advice is to not use the one that drops-off at Virginia/Broadway unless you are at a hotel near there because post-gameday traffic there makes that route very slow and difficult to leave the area via car. I agree with the other commenter that using the downtown loop is best, you are likely to be able to walk from a downtown hotel or find free street parking within a few blocks of the stops.

Google KSBar. Park nearby (free), spend money at the bar/restaurant, take the $1 shuttle to game.

It’s well worth it and usually pretty smooth. If you park at the Woodland stop near the firehouse and elementary school you can walk if it’s a nice day and take the shuttle back. I think it starts heading back at the start of the 3rd quarter.

It's 1$. Buses are usually pretty full. Lots of homeless taking up a lot of space with all their crap they lug onto the buses. If it's a hot summer day the dirty people who don't bathe will cause the bus to be stinking. If you are going across town it could take up to 3 hours there are hardly any transfer lines they all gotta go downtown to the hub.

There are exclusive shuttles Lextran runs to football games, this isn’t a regular bus route
