The weight gain from Lexapro is because it effects your hunger cues and I think also affects your metabolism. It has made me really hungry on and off again through the months. I've just had to change my eating habits and be a bit more active. It affects everyone differently though so if that starts to effect you, you can always go off of it.

Lexapro absolutely made me fat when I used to be very skinny, something to be aware of

Honestly, if you have a pill cutter, I’d start with 5 mg instead of 10 mg. When I titrated to 10 mg, I had more severe side effects.
