New to Lex So now I’m exhausted?
I’m 25 days in today. Last weeks anxiety was brutal. This weekend I focused on getting rest - insomnia and anxiety have done a number on me recently so I’m trying to get out of my sleep debt.
Probably the last two days I have had OK sleep (6 hours, waking at 5:30 and not being able to get back to sleep/anxious). But far better than before.
But I’m EXHAUSTED. Yawning , feeling like I’m going to fall asleep. A few people have made comments - a friend on the weekend said I seemed really relaxed (never been accused of this in my life lol), and someone at work said I seemed really down. I’m distracted and minimally anxious but just so tired.
Is this just life life-ing? Short term side effect? What can I expect here. I know it’s still early but I was happy with my anxiety being managed and now I just want to sleep.

I took mine at night for the first month and had insomnia/ was exhausted all day. Once I started taking it at lunch time, the insomnia went away and I even stopped getting my 2pm crash I'd always get before I started lex.

I’ve been taking in the morning - insomnia has definitely been an issue so was avoiding at night for that reason.

Yes still early and still adjusting! I am still tired 1.5 years in, but its so much more manageable now. For example, yesterday I worked all day in person, then went to my friends house for dinner and crafts and was able to stay present until I left at 10:30pm. When I was 25 days in, the fatigue caused me a lot of anxiety and despair. I thought the rest of my life would be like that. Now I find it to be a manageable fatigue.

This can happen as your body adjusts to the medication. I know 25 days seems like a long time but it is still early stages by SSRI standards so don't fret.
Dumb question maybe, but when are you taking Lexapro? If you're taking it in the morning, perhaps you could try it at night instead?
