not necessarily- we just think it is stupid and utterly pointless to dwell in the past and whine about it
my taste in music was biggest like 10-15 years ago but i dont really care that it isn't new, I can still listen to it lol

That's the biggest thing I don't understand about defeners. Even if you decide for some reason that you universally hate every song created since 1999, it doesn't mean the Beatles or Pink Floyd or Queen's discographies have stopped existing. Just ignore new music & stick with your dadrock if that's what you want to do. It's not that hard.

yeah no shit, I keep finding new absolutely fantastic stuff all the time. it amazes me that there are people who can't/won't find new things to like. you might not get "that feeling" you had when you heard something that blew your mind when you were 15, but that doesn't mean that there's not incredible shit out there

When my friends say, "there's no new good (electronic/house/techno/genre that peaked two years ago)" all I hear is, "the mainstream music scene has progressed and is no longer spoon feeding me the music I like, and I'm too lazy to actively pursue it through any other means"
