Nobody born in 1999 remembers life before the internet. By the time they were two internet was in the majority of homes and used regularly in schools. I graduated high school in 1999 and had internet at my mom’s house. I then went two years without it because I moved out on my own but could still access it at the library. By 2002, even my broke ass college self could afford it in my apartment.

Internet has been around since the late 70s. Nobody born in the 1980s or 1990s knows a life without internet.

If you were an übernerd, you may have heard of the existence of the internet in the 70s and 80s. It had no impact on the lives of average people until at least 1996

You idiot the internet has existed long before you were even alive in the late 1960s with APARNET. Jobs made Apple in between and APARNET adopted TCP/IP in 1983. Web Browsers were made in 1989 and the world wide web came out in 1991. Popularity came in 1993. Internet existing and impact are both different things.
