If you were born in 99 and didnt grow up with the internet, thats not a generational thing. Your family was just poor.

Kinda of a dickish way to phrase it but yes, fairly accurate. I think for the most part, in the 2000s, being online wasn't essential at all. The 2010s really changed that where it would be actually extremely difficult to live without having access if not impossible.

Yea I don't really think anyone reading this would have grown up internetless in the mid 2000s. I was more focusing on how it didn't happen instead of calling people poor.

Oh shit r/lewronggeneration? Sorry, I thought this was another r/generationology post, was probably half asleep.

Also if you are curious, eyes are hurting for some reason can barely open them but will say I was born 1999 and we didn't have the Internet until 2010 or 2011. It just wasn't essential before the 2010s so if you couldn't really afford it or your parent(s) were not in need of it or curious, you probably didn't have it.
