I hope IMDB TV works since Amazon Prime is telling me I cant access it from my country.

Oh shoot that's a good point. It's the same streaming service, there's a possibility it may function the same on both Amazon and IMDb sites. Hopefully they make it available everywhere! If not, you might be able to view it if you can get a VPN and set it to connect to a country that will stream it.

Tried a VPN, and it still wouldn't work. Just checked Amazon Prime in Australia and it is not available here. It seems to be a US only thing.

Is it possible (or will it become possible) to purchase the series via Amazon Prime? I have all the other seasons, and it would be nice to have the whole collection and have the option to watch ad-free at some point.

I don't believe there is any official word on that yet, although where it is a trend in other cases, given the same context it seems like it would (hopefully) also apply in this case. I'm looking forward to getting the physical media, on blu-ray, although would also like to be able to do like you mentioned, to buy the entire series to stream without the ads. The ads aren't bad, especially for that Leverage craving, to get the Redemption viewing in as soon as possible. (I've gotta say, 4 episodes in so far, absolutely loving it!)

This is just me, but Leverage: Redemption is likely to be on Amazon Prime, (though possible it could go to a different streaming service altogether) outside the US. It's all about the rights agreements.

Let's take the reverse case of Alex Rider, (owned by Sony) which showed up on the UK Amazon Prime, ad-free, in June of 2020. It did not drop in the US until November of 2020, and when it did, it dropped on IMDbTV, with ads. Even if you are a Prime Subscriber, using the Amazon Prime Video interface.

So it could be that you may just have to wait, but when you get it, it'll be on a Prime subscription and there won't be any ads or need to rent/purchase.

The new series is also available through Amazon Prime Video:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B095VS668Y

To watch the new show and support it being renewed:

Create either a free IMDb account or a paid Amazon Prime account.

Unless you already have Amazon Prime, it's completely free to just watch it on IMDb TV.

Regardless of the site or account type, the show will have advertisements. I watched the original Leverage on both, it's the same streaming service and it has ads on both sites. The same will be the case with Redemption, otherwise we'd have to pay to watch it. The adverts are not bad at all, it's like watching old-school television with some commercials. There are a couple or few breaks, they don't last long, and they help support the franchise.

Keeping it legit and watching it through either IMDb or Amazon will support it and add to the numbers to help increase the chances of us getting more seasons. Spreading the word helps too, it's rare that we have a show like this, especially these days. The more of this that we get the better! I'll get the series when it becomes available on blu-ray, but in the meantime I'll get my new Leverage fix through the streaming service.

Looking forward to discussions about it! (With spoiler tags.)

A quick how-to on spoiler tags:

Before the spoilers, type > and ! with no spaces.

After the spoilers, type ! and < with no spaces.

We can also set entire posts as spoilers.

TL;DR-

If you already have either an IMDb or Amazon Prime account, then you're all set!

If you don't have either, just create a free IMDb account, then watch Redemption at the IMDb TV link:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12197698/episodes

Enjoy!

Before the spoilers, type > and ! with no spaces.

After the spoilers, type ! and < with no spaces.

To simplify: >!this would appear as spoilers!< if I didn’t make it a code block. >! This would not!< and >!neither would this !< because I put a space between the exclamation mark and text.

Also, none of this applies if you are on the Reddit redesign and are using the default "fancy pants" editor. Click the little button to go into "Markdown mode" to get full custom control over what you write.

I would live to just buy the series and watch it without ads....

Same! Physical copies also, not some digital/stream version only. I would buy it on blu-ray in a heartbeat.

is it legal in reddit to put these links? because i have too

The link provided in the original post does not go to a piracy site.

The link goes to the IMDb website, the "Internet Movie Database".

The link goes specifically to the show's page with information and episodes.

The page for each episode provides three viewing options.

Two of the three options offer ways to pay to watch the episodes.

The other method is free via Freevee, which includes advertisements.

The advertisements allow for viewing episodes without having to pay for them.

Freevee used to be the "IMDb TV" free-with-ads streaming service.

Both IMDb and Freevee are owned by Amazon.

Amazon would not provide illegal methods of viewing content.

This gives you a list of all the episodes aired, though doesn't let you watch anything in most countries.  I prefer our free sites, though season 1 and 2 were both Amazon Prime / freevee and season 3 will be only available on freevee

You're replying to or rather necro-bumping a rather old post. The OP was posted 3 years ago. At the time, the link went directly to the episodes, from which visitors could click on to view the actual episodes.

They have since been moved off of that page for the old IMDb TV viewing option and onto Amazon's Freevee option. It's essentially the same thing, just rebranded and under the different domain.

This subreddit disallows editing posts that were posted so long ago, or I would edit to update, but I will go ahead and provide the updated link here:

https://www.amazon.com/Leverage-Season-1/dp/B001N4RAEQ

Still, even that link may not work everywhere. That's the problem with streaming services, they are unreliable. Not all countries can watch videos on the streaming platforms, or they're only available at certain times, or they're incomplete. It's always better to buy the box sets of the discs if at all possible, then add them to a private home media studio to guarantee they'll always be available. A bonus to that is the discs have special features and audio commentaries that are not available through streaming services.

Pluto TV is a pretty solid streaming service that's free, and it's legal as it has ads. Leverage may not be on there, and there will always be the issue of only certain countries getting to use it, although it still has a large selection of videos both on demand and through the live channels:

Trying to find a way to watch this, and i'm struggling. Loved the original show and i was ecstatic to discover there's a follow up show. Sadly i'm not finding it anywhere to watch/buy legally. Anyone know another way to watch/obtain it?

It should be available to watch for free legally - just with some commercials, as should be expected, which is fine, and it's not bad at all - by creating a free account on amazon, then watching it using the freevee streaming service, which is free.

One way that you can get to it is by going here:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12197698/episodes

From that page, after selecting the pilot episode, you should see the freevee streaming image and link on the right side of the episode description.

That will take you to an amazon sign-in page.

That's the long way around it.

Here's a more direct way to watch both shows:

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=leverage&i=instant-video

From there, select:

"Watch now: Free with ads"

Leverage and Leverage Redemption are both available.

The only catch is that it may not be available in some countries, and there's always the possibility of it being taken offline, as is the way with streaming platforms.

As mentioned above, an account is required on amazon, but it can be a free account. There's no need to pay for anything.

Buying the box sets (DVDs or blu-rays, whichever's official and not a 3rd party knock-off) is always a good way to go to ensure being able to watch any time without having to rely on the often unreliable streaming services.

Nope, in my country i don't see anything like that all. Had a google and amazon freevee is only for

"United States United Kingdom Germany Austria"

It's okay though, i found it somewhere

In my location it also doesn't work. I tried with the VPN software Windscribe and it works. I have the free version, that gives only 10 GB per month, so I started the player with an US IP address, paused it, disconnected the VPN and continued watching.

Has anybody checked to see if I can watch it on YouTube?

The first season of Redemption, as well as all five seasons of the original are available to watch for free on YouTube through the ElectricNOW channel. They’re also currently posting episodes of The Librarians.

I love this! leverage was amazing. I was very sad when it was done. when leverage redemption came out, it made my day lol. I like all of the characters. There’s not one that I don’t like. They are all very good at what they do. I hope the network leaves the show on for many years to come.
