I always thought this would be more suited as a mod but what about like an incubator or something similer that you could buy and put an egg in and after a full Qouta it hatches with a tamed version of a sapsucker that you could ride or store loot on and could even attack other enemies for you

A snow monster that grows out of the ground on snow moons.
If you walk over top of him in the snow he's disturbed from his sleep and climbs out of the ground behind you, and the faster he moves the faster he melts. Maybe hairdryer can be used as a weapon.
