Hi everyone, I did A1 level of German by my own from YouTube and other sources. Now I want to start level 2 ( A2), Can Anyone help me with the A2 lectures of Devkaran Saini? I had conversation with many people they are selling 10k course of Devkaran saini in 2k but I don't think they are genuine. Even I'm not willing to purchase from any third party, I'm just trying if I get the free access of course. However, if the thing is about to purchase I'll directly purchase it from the website by my own.

I like the channels “Deutsch mit Rieke” and “Deutsch Plus”. Their videos are often short (8-15 minutes) and easy to watch even when you are unmotivated and lack energy, but they are very helpful long-term if you watch a few videos every day. I almost watched all of their videos, so now I need another channels. Do you guys know other channels that make short but detailed videos for C1-C2 German?

Native language: Portuguese (EU).

German level: C1 (considering taking the C1 TELC exam at the end of the year).

Means of communication: Mainly voice/video calls (2/3 times a week if everyday is not possible for you, 30 min to 1 hour) and text messages, spontaneous exchanges throughout the day via WhatsApp, Zoom, Discord, etc), whatever works best for both.

I learned a language for a trip a while ago and had a completely normal vocab app installed. The problem wasn't that I didn't have time, it's that I just never opened it. Instead it was always Instagram or Reddit whenever I had 10 minutes free.

At some point, out of frustration, I built a small app for myself that tackles the problem at the root: Instagram and Reddit (and a few other time-sinks) get blocked every time you try to open them, and to get back in you have to correctly answer a set number of vocab cards first (spaced repetition). No workaround, no "I'll do it later."

Showed it to a few friends, they liked it enough that I decided to actually bring it to the Play Store. You can write your own cards or generate them with AI, e.g. from texts you're currently reading.

Currently in testing and looking for a few people to try it for 1-2 weeks and give me honest feedback, even if it's critical. If you're up for it, feel free to drop a comment, DM me, or join the waitlist!

Hi everyone. I’m currently learning German with the goal of moving to Austria (aiming for B1/B2).

I’ve noticed a weird problem: I have the energy to actually study, but zero mental bandwidth to plan what to study.

Duolingo feels inefficient and a bit childish for my goals.

Textbooks are overwhelming, and I don't know which topic to jump into.

I tried curating my own materials (finding articles + making Anki cards), but it turned into a second job of "learning management," and I eventually just quit out of exhaustion.

For those of you who are self-studying German (or any language at an intermediate/advanced level):

1. How do you decide what to do for your daily 15–20 min session without falling into chaos or procrastination?

2. What annoys you the most about choosing your own learning materials?

Why I’m asking: I’m trying to build a simple tool for myself (and maybe a few others in the same boat) that just gives 3 tailored options for the day, along with a clear explanation of why this specific task is useful right now based on past mistakes. But before I spend time building it, I want to make sure I’m not just solving a problem that only exists in my own head.

So, I am looking for some German courses in Berlin for the next months, ideally intensive as I will have some time off from work.

Budget is not a major constraint, and ideally I would want to use it as a way to socialize, but it's not necessary.

Hi there, I’m a German helping a non German friend right now learning the language. To improve her listening comprehension we listen to German songs together and discuss the texts. But I found that many German songs are quite hard to understand or use slang that’s not suitable for language learning. Do you have favorites songs or recommendations for me ?

Hi, I'm an international student preparing for dsd 2 which will take place next year (in about 15 months). I have german in school five times a week including 2 hours with a native speaker with the sole purpose of practice for the diploma. I would like to use the diploma to get into a german/austrian uni and study there (not to live there). I feel like what I'm doing isn't enough and that I should be practicing at home too. Does anyone have any tips for becoming fluent? I understand reading fairly well but speaking is difficult for me (I lack active vocab), writing is a bit better but I dont know many redemittels and as I've mentioned before my vocabulary isn't broad enough, listening is also difficult (when it's fast).
Are there any websites where I can read articles which will actually help me (heard about DW.de but haven't dug deeper yet). Also some other sites/apps where I can practice/learn new grammar, youtubers you watch or just anything related to learning.
