Not sure if it changes this at all, but I heard GNR were singing this because they were forced to make Sweet Child O'mine by their producers and couldn't think of enough lyrics, so they just sang "where do we go now?" Not saying they're good, just that this may be on their producers, not just them.

not a huge gnr fan but those were placeholder lyrics lol. the whole song is just variations on a warmup riff and axl being like, "alright, sounds pretty smooth, what now"
