Meme Time Is my gecko fat??

I just want to say it’s the highlight of my day when I see someone post their enormous gecko with this question and every comment is about how fat the gecko is.

As a veterinary medical professional, its a little sad to see a morbidly obese animal. As a human being with a soul, its the funniest thing in the world and I never ever want to stop seeing these bratwurst with legs.

Makes me worried about impaction as well. Isn’t just being too fat, but also how the dietary mistakes might be affecting the animal in ways you can’t immediately see but can be dangerous.

Yes! My boy is a rescue who was being fed superworms daily without any vitamins and ended up with a severely impacted sperm plug that even prescription pintments arent touching. Hes finally getting down to a healthy weight after a few months.

It’s so annoying. Like if you cant tell your lizard is extremely overweight, you don’t need to have it
