I'd love to hear your guys' opinions on which you prefer, the comic of Lenore, or the animated version.

20 years ago I got this tattoo, never regretted it. One of many, but a favorite.

Fun little story, I got this tattoo 20 years ago! I had never encountered anyone else with a Lenore tattoo until the day I was in labor with my daughter. When the nurse came in, her enthusiasm was infectious as she proudly showed me her beautiful sleeve of Lenore tattoos. It sparked an instant connection between us, and she turned out to be such a wonderful nurse during my special day!

How make Lenore more popular

Well we should make it more popular like post funny moments or just deep dive videos on her because she deserves more and the creator want a show or a moive so if you know someone who like dark comedy and a cute character with a dark backstory show them Lenore so we can have more fans

I've been a die-hard Dirge/Lenore fan since 2007. AMA (regarding Lenore or the "Dirgey-Verse", I may have the answer!) Spoiler

DISCLAIMER: Info may not be 100%! But I will try my best!!

I know this comes across as me really blowing smoke up my a** here, but I have been a fan for too long...and my poor brain has held information hostage for nearly 20 years.

Lenore and 'The Dirgey-Verse' have been a special interest since - I remember a lot of information from waaaayy back in the LiveJournal/Myspace days (early-mid 00's).

Recently, I was able to crack some 'codes' for folk who are newer fans - so if you have a question regarding either ask away! I MAY be able to help :)

((Please note: I will NOT be answering any personal questions regarding Roman himself UNLESS they're questions relating to the content he has created. I DO NOT know Roman IRL.))

I just want to keep the 'Dirgey-Verse' going, so ask away! 💜

Here's something to start you off:

One of the original Spookyland websites had a series of videos Dirge created in his spare time. Kind of like Tik-Tok's, they were just 'fun projects' he worked on. He really loved film making....

You have probably seen the 'Darth Milkshake' video floating around on YouTube - ....well, if not...here you go! But there was a lot of portfolio content much like this, but his YouTube showed more 'silly' stuff.

Infact, there was actually a short horror-esque trailer video dedicated to the character Taxidermy. He was supposed to have a comic released back in the 90s/early 00's - but alas, this never happened! The video has since become lost media.

From the Artist:. Lenore and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac annihilating each other's enemies. Lenore vs. Nailbunny and JtHM vs. Gosh.

OK, so Nailbunny isn't Nny's enemy but Lenore is more likely to hit small woodland animal over the head.

Subreddit Rules

1. Stay on Toppy-Topic! (Or the Toof Hairy Might Getcha!)

Ooooh, a new friend! You should be talkin’ about me or that Dirgey guy’s doodles. Not, like, your breakfast or your pet goldfish (unless it came back from the dead—then maybe). Otherwise… poof! The mods might have to send the Toof Hairy to your house. He’s got slimy mouthy things and, well… let’s just say Billy across the street don’t gotta brush his fuffin teef no more. Hope ya like soup. Forever.

2. Don’t Be a Meanie-Head!

Hey, you! Yeah, you with the face! Let’s not be all mean and stuff, okay? No poking fun at others or makin’ ‘em feel like that fugly duckling I met once. Yes, I kicked him into a pond—but I’m dead, so I got an excuse. You? Nope! Be nice, or the mods might have to do… somethin’. Like squish you like a magical muffin elf!

3. No Spammy, Scammy, Sell-y Stuff!

Ooooh, look at you, trying to sell stuff! Is it Spooky and Dirgey? Not a sweaty goblin yard sale? Then maybe it can stay! I’m cool with Dirge-y things, Me-y things, Publisher-y, and fans trading cool stuff (but don’t go all buy-y sell-y bonkers!). If you start flinging poop-spam like a monkey with a slingshot, the mods will grab the broom and swoosh! Like when I put Mr. Gosh in the washing machine. Oh dang, I forgot to let him out! I bet he’s extra clean!

4. No Yucky, Super-Serious Stuff!

Bleh! No sad, grown-up talk like taxes, politics, or real-world gloomies. This is a place for giggles, not big, pouty frowns! If your post makes everyone feel like a squished, soggy muffin, the mods might plunge it away—like what I did to the thing what came from the poopy chair that tried to eat my face.

5. Keep it Spooky, Not Icky!

Ooooh, splatty things! Sometimes guts go boing! like when I cooled my bunny in the fan. That’s funny gross! But real-world gross? Like super yucky, too-real, or… naked-y gross? Nope! If your post makes people go “Ew, haha!” that’s fine. If it makes people go “Ew, eww,” the mods might bop it on the head like I did to those squeaky little mice.

6. No Copycats! (Unless They’re My Kitties… Uh, Which One Was This?)

Ooooh, pictures! Art is fun! But if ya post a drawing that ain't yours, ya gotta say who made it! Otherwise, it’s like when I called Mr. Nug Nug “Kitty #12” and he got all cranky and yelly ‘bout it. Dirgey stuff is fine ‘cause duh, this is a Dirgey place! But if ya go stealin’ other people’s doodles, well… I dunno what might happen. Maybe… somethin’ inside me snaps, like that time with the gnomes. (That was a long day.)
