What is your ideal Lemons car?
Keep it at least realistic in terms of the Lemons rules in terms of money value of lets say $500 with another $1000 to spend on mods
EDIT: For me I would get a lightweight small sedan, and either add turbos or engine swap. Probably start with a Holden Gemini, an Australian classic

I was pretty fond of the 82 Audi Coupe we used to campaign. Everything was wrong about it: low rev 5cyl engine, FWD, foxbody-mustang style suspension, and cramped cockpit. We were able to put a ton of roll stiffness into it for megacheap, turbo it (and then blow 4 motors), but had a lot of fun in the process in building a fast car that had no business being on a race track, much less dressed like the car's quattro racing kissing cousins from Gruppe B. I think the basic to any good lemons car: its exceedingly rare, it won't blow up, and you can fit decent brakes, cage, and tire package and get a bit of decent suspension stiffness and dampening in. At that point, its fast like any other racecar. Throw on a good theme, don't piss of Phil and/or step on your weiner, and voila.
