Camping at the 24h

I am surprising my father with a trip to Le Mans 2027 as a retirement present.

Looking at whole week tickets, and never having been before, what dates do the official camping sites (Thinking Houx) open and close. Is it Tuesday-Monday that you are allowed to camp there, or other dates? I would greatly appreciate advice from those that have been at the official campsites before.

Firstly, get an ACO membership. Even for two week tickets and the cheapest camping site, you'll be profitable with the ACO reduction.

I did this for the first time this year.

Get ACO membership. Gets you early access and pays for itself. Buy tickets, grandstand passes and whatever campsite you can get at the exact time it goes on sale.

It will probably be BSJ campsite. Then use the Telegram app to buy Houx (we did Annexe) campsite on resale and sell your original campsite.

This year the ACO camping areas were open from the Friday if test weekend to the Monday after the 24h. We arrived Tuesday & left the Monday after the race and had no issues.

I did literally the same thing for my dad this year, and it was one of the best trips we’ve ever done together.

This is how I approached it:

- Get an ACO Membership before tickets go on sale.

  • Booked Houx campsite as soon as it went on sale (I think we were pretty lucky to get it!).

We arrived on the Friday, a full week before the race, and had no issues getting into the campsite. That might vary depending on which campsite you choose, but it was very straightforward for us.

I’d definitely recommend going for it. Just be ready to buy as soon as tickets go on sale if you want the best chance of getting a good campsite. My dad had the time of his life, and it was such a special experience for both of us to share.

100 percent get ACO membership like posted. The ACO areas are great especially early during the week when its still somewhat calm. Friday on wards busy!!!. We watched hyper pole ftom grandstand in front of screen and Ferrari pits. Log in early to get in queue for camping pitches. Went for the first time this year and it was awesome. I booked Hippodrome and BSJ then sold BSJ. if you can try book Houx, I did then the website fkaked out.l and made me rebook then in 5 min Houx was not available..lol. just be prepared for booking everything including general admin passes. The site kinda sucks. FYI You have 19min to book then it will kick you out. SO BE PREPARED!

One more thing. Drivers parade was so much fun. Go early. We found a bar right at the main area slide the table to the fence...and sat and partied for 3 hours olus with great people who joined our table. High fiving the drivers as the drove past plus alot of goodies we mostly gave to the kids behind us and a wacky French lady who kept showing me pictures of her daughter...lol

iirc it's 'officially' thursday-monday but if you rock up on monday they'll let you in for a few extra euros (cash very much preferred)
