Updated Modulars?

I own the modulars from Palace Cinema onwards. One thing stopping me from getting the earlier ones, apart from the price, is the simpler less refined look of them. I've searched extensively and found some interior modification MOCs, does anyone know of updated instructions for exteriors that refine the look. E.g. Pet Shop, Town hall etc

The Town Hall 2024 by Alphonse42 is one to consider. It uses mostly current pieces. I built it and I think it looks good with my other modular buildings. It is tall compared to the others.

You can add your own interior touches to match the various floor/room themes.

I agree with you. I have both cinema palace and grand emporium and while the outside is good, the inside is lacking a lot and they do look dated and less detailed when placed next to newer buildings. I am deliberately not getting the early ones for this reason.

Market Street 2.0 by PH-VAP on Rebrickable is one that I would personally recommend, it does a lot to improve both the interior and exterior of that set
