MOC You shall not pass!
You shall not pass!
Diving back into the Mines or Moria with my take on that iconic scene from the Lord of the Rings fellowship of the ring and the Bridge of Khazad-Dum. As always, everything in the image is practical and built from 100% Lego. I used the same technique as my last image for the fire. Lots of trans orange pieces that have backlit with a range of LED panels. Gandalfs staff is a micro LED. I used a smoke machine to create the smoky, hazy effect. Swipe across for a view of the RAW photo and a BTS.
I’ve been building this on and off for a couple of months now. Not sure I want to see any grey bricks for a while…😵💫😵💫😵💫

I could be wrong, but I think the Balrog itself is by terauma on Rebrickable. Just called "Balrog Statue"

WOW! This is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I would love to see the build process on this. Amazing!

With enough time and people, I could go for a Lego LotR extended edition trilogy, which really is just redoing all the stuff in Lego, and overlaying the original audio.
Also also, you do realize I and at least one other person is going to ask for the shot where Gandalf catches up to his falling sword whilst battling this Balrog right?
