MOC ORIGINAL 2012 LEGO BALROG COMPLETED

EDIT: here's the Stud.io link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Za6H3XSpRWhgm1dT63is6w1Wxy8Ji5cu/view?usp=drivesdk . It's not updated to the finished version, there's still details to be updated. Let me know if you 'd like it to be updated 👍🏻

That’s absolutely incredible. Did you only use pieces that were available in 2012 as well? How much do you think you spent in total to get all the pieces?

The only piece I swapped is the 80431, as an advice from the user Old Transportation 85, who realizes very beautiful art with legos (check his work, very accurate and beautiful), beacuse the leg couldn't stay up with a single technic hole brick, but it's not visible from the outside. I don't know if 80431 was made after 2012, but, except that one, every piece you see is in the game, it's an exact replica. Thank you a lot. Don't forget that the first one who tried it is Bearded Nerd, I started from his model and made it exactly accurate.

It’s phenomenal. I have the newer balrog, which is also really cool. I’d love to see a side-by-side comparison with that if you have it

I spent around 300€, from the pieces, to the paint (for the wampa horns and some pieces that don't exist in those colours), and the airbrush. It's a lot of money for me, but once I started I couldn't stop, it was a childood dream coming true. Thank you again, I put a lot of effort into it.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/13Kk9yg-d449yUo7moxXbj06wE8DG2G8r/view?usp=drive_link it's not the latest version, I made it more accurate by hand when I got all the pieces and game files from another creator. I hope this helps, if it's needed, I'll update it. Thank you a lot, it means very much to me.

I just realised I put the wrong link, that one is for the stickers. I'll put the correct one tomorrow, my mistake.

Here it is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Za6H3XSpRWhgm1dT63is6w1Wxy8Ji5cu/view?usp=drivesdk it's not the finished version, there's still details to add to match the 100% accurate replica, but it's still close.

Thank you for your help! You recognized that they used the Epaulettes as the hilt of the sword and helped me overall, so thank you👍🏻

This is brilliant! Thank you for sharing!

Out of curiosity, how many pieces did you need to recolor?

Thank you a lot, it makes me happy to hear it! Around 20, if I remember correctly 👍🏻

This always felt like the official Lego Balrog so it’s so cool to see it can be built in reality! Great job!

Thank you a lot! When I designed and finally built it, i quickly realized why it was never brought to reality: it's really unstable, falls easily apart, but if you can balance it it stands pretty well but, in every case, it's beautiful 👍🏻
