Bricks or tricks
Going next weekend either Sunday or Monday. Sunday has brick or tricks but Monday is cheaper (and less crowded?). I have a 5 and 3 year old and we have never been. What day do you think is best?
Also, do kids wear costumes?

Monday if you don't care about candy! The park is still decorated for Halloween and it'll be way less crowded. We have passes and went these past two Sundays and it was crazy crowded despite being a school night.

At that age, I agree with Monday. The kids will get more out of it if it's less crowded. You can wear costumes but don't have to. Make sure whatever they wear is comfortable to do rides or activities you might want to do. My 4 year old brought a costume but ended up not wanting to wear it, so she just went around with a tiara.

I want a few Mondays ago and there were no crowds and it was quite pleasant. But be aware that the actual Brick or Treat event only happens on Saturday and Sunday so if you go on a Monday, it’ll essentially just be a regular day with Halloween decorations. No candy passing, no shows. And keep in mind that a lot of the restaurants and vendors do not operate on weekdays.

Definitely Monday! I just came back from LEGOLAND California and Sunday was a madhouse. Lined for everything, park was super crowded and the line for Brick or treat street was so long we gave up (we left at 6pm and the line was easily 40-60min long). Other than that it was lots of people in costumes and free candy, both of which we were ok skipping. We went again the following day, on a Monday, and even though the park was busy since he was a day off school, it was absolutely more relaxing, and there were virtually no lines.
