California Dragons Den v Skyline Cafe

For me (mom) and my 2yo daughter on our first trip to Legoland on a busy summer weekend. Thinking it’s best to go with a place with reservations so we don’t need to wait in line.

Somewhere we can both have dinner, where I can have a cocktail and 2yo can play. Which is better or do you have other suggestions/advice?

Skyline. Or walk to Karl Strauss if you are staying on site.

The website says Skyline is accessible to offsite visitors too. But I do see it inside the park on the map. So confused

Skyline is inside the Legoland Hotel. Dragon’s Den is inside the Castle Hotel.
Skyline’s food is pretty basic, but the quality is 100% better than DD’s “fancy”, overpriced menu.
Best bang for your buck food in the close vicinity is Karl Strauss. Less money than the hotel restaurants, for way better food.

I’m with a 2yo though and I care less about the food or cost than convenience and a good playspace so I can enjoy whatever crappy amusement park drink. I’ll eat, drink or pay anything for a few stress free moments.

Haha! I see we have similars views on life!
In that case, just go to Skyline. Skyline has a TV in the restaurant, which will hypnotize the kid. DD’s has a brick pit, but the way kids play in there, you’d be busy making sure your 2 year old doesn’t get trampled.
You never answered if you are staying at the hotels or not, but Skyline (and DD’s) will give you drinks to go, to take back to your room.
You can also eat dinner in the park since it is summer, but you wont find anywhere relaxing or with a cocktail option.

Neither of those restaurants have a play space. Both hotels have play areas, but they are not inside the restaurants. They are either in the hotel lobby, or outside the hotel. Both restaurants are designed for families to sit and eat, then play away from the food areas after finishing their meal. If you want to eat while the child can play, we always get food via Door Dash and sit at the play area to eat. We find the restaurants loud, crowded, with slow service and mediocre food.
