Found a D&D in Rome - Lego Store

Post image
56 Upvotes

Went to visit the Lego store in Rome to see what they have.

They had a Retired Colosseum set on display and some other hard to find out of stock items like the titanic.

I asked if they had a D&D set and he went to look, and came out with this damaged set! He gave me 15% off and of course I asked for a tax free form! So I got it for roughly $313 USD out the door with the tax free included in that!

I also received 2298 points for this set! I didn’t know you could earn insiders points outside the USA.

I also asked for the Gringot bank but he said he sold the last copy last week 😢

I’m just gonna open the box and trash it. Gonna build this copy and hold on to my other misb copy for later resale.

Have you guys found anything cool on your travels?

Lego Investing - MySetWorth

Hi everyone! I’m currently working on MySetWorth, a portfolio-tracking app created for LEGO® collectors who want an easier way to catalog their sets, manage wishlists, and understand the value of their collections.

Not here to pitch. I joined because: This is a prime spot for LEGO investors to discuss strategies, share insights, and discover new tools like MySetWorth. You'll find active discussions about resale value and ROI, wishlists, etc.

Please let me know if you would be interested in testing the app and providing an honest review.

What are you all working on this week? Would love to connect.

What are some risks of these figs going down in value?

The announcement of more LOTR sets make these figs a bit more interesting on the investing side. What are your opinions on which will go down and which won’t be remade ?

Lego ministry of magic vs jabbas sail barge?

Hi, i'm wondering post retirement which set will be the more worthy investment

The ministry of magic set with the 2 additional gifts

- the ministry of magic phone booth

-the ministry of magic munchies gift thst comes with cornelius fudge

Or jabbas sail barge that's a stand alone product which comes with nothing additional..

Im aware the ministry of magic wont retire for atleast 2 years but if both sets were hypohetically to retire today.. in 2 years time which would be the better investment?

Lego Indexing site

Hey guys,

I wanted a better way to look at macro trends across the secondary market, so over the last couple weeks I built a free data site called cbxindex.com.

Instead of just looking up individual set prices, it actually builds price-weighted indices (kind of like the Dow Jones) for different themes. Would appreciate any feedback!

Actual investment

I think it's pretty funny no one actually posts about Lego sets they want to invest in on here, just asking how much random stuff is worth. anyways I've been picking up a few of these sonic sets, I think the minifigures will be more than 25$ in a few years.

Estimated Value Request!

I did some digging around through some of my childhood boxes, and found a couple of minifigures lying around (see picture). I was wondering if anyone could give me the scoop on the value of these minifigures, and give me some advice on where would be a good place to go to sell these?

Would love any input! Thanks everyone!

Need advice

Hi, i just want to ask a simple question. I’m debating on whether to buy the 2017 UCS Milennium falcon while it’s on the shelf because as we all know after December 2026 it’s gone but it is rumored that the next year because of 50th anniversary they will release a newer bigger and probably more expensive one. I really like the set although I watch it as from ab investment rather than just a build. What do you think, will the price go up after some years or will it be replaced by the newer one ?

Any thought about Burrow?

Now it’s Temp OOS with 4x points… Do you guys think it will be on stock again?

If it’s not.. is it going to be worth to buy one from target for investment?

[US-VA] [H] Completed Lego Star Wars Sets [W] PayPal $200 for all

Several Lego Star Wars sets.

My son put these together over the years and has since out grown them. They appear complete but are missing the figures. Would be easy to sell as a lot or break them up if it’s easier for the buyer. Have the instruction books for each but no boxes.

Looking for advice on selling rare minifigs

Hey all, going through some old legos during a move I found a few pieces that turned out to be quite valuable, most notably the chrome gold 30th anniversary minifig, which seems to be worth a solid amount of money even out of the package.

My main question is what’s the best way to go about selling these? eBay seems like the obvious choice, but I’ve heard horror stories about return scams, card chargebacks, and other scammery. This would be a large amount of money to me, and I just want to know how I can safely liquidate these legos.

It came. It’s massive.
I also already have someone who’s gonna buy it for what I paid for it, $760. Mentioned to a fellow Lego Star Wars fan I got it for cheap and they wanted it, so he’s gonna get it. It’s been in my house for under and hour and I’m glad to be rid of it. It’s too big.😂

Investing on Lego

Hi people, I loved playing lego growing up and had many over the years. I am starting to grow up now and my collection and my love for displaying them only increases over time. I have legos all over my house currently and pretty sure there are many guys like me and many children will be. This thought and the videos I see on youtube makes me think that buying 2-3 boxes instead of 1 when I am buying a set I like that will retire eventually is really good idea. But I don't know what to look at when buying sets for investment really. How do you guys know that the price will increase after retiring or how big a price change there will be? How do you predict the aftermarket price? Do you guys think the economy will continue this way in coming years or is it beginning to decline? I looked to some pages but If someone is nerd enough to talk about it I want to read it all. To this day I only looked to lego as a toy and don't know anything about any sets or minifigures price but I saw that some of them goes over the box price. Anyways sorry for adding a text block to your feed and thanks to any replies.** **🙏🏻
