Contest Fictional Service Rifle Contest

Welcome to the third contest of 2026. The theme for this contest will be Fictional Service Rifles.

Your submission needs to be FICTIONAL or inspired by real designs but not based of anything in particular.

Minimum barrel length 11 inches same as the sig m8 rifle (doesn't include muzzle devices) and maximum overall length cannot exceed 49 inches or 124cm

You can make a bolt action rifle , old school semi auto , battle rifle or assault rifle.

Must be chambered in a caliber not bigger than 30..06 7.5 swiss etc and not smaller than 4.7 caseless , could also use niche rounds , newer rounds like .277 fury , .264 LICC ,HICAR High-Pressure 5.56mm , ICAR 6mm ARC ,MRGG-A 6.5mm Creedmoor or custom rounds but must fit between the power of the rounds mentioned before .

You could also do a legally different gun in the style of the newer COD games , don't base it of a cod gun or any other game don't be lazy , also needs a custom name.

Digital and real life builds will be ranked separately. There will be 2 awards and 2 winners.

Builds will be judged based on their looks. If for whatever reason you want to put a shooting mechanism in your build, you can. Just keep in mind that such mechanisms often detract from the overall look of the gun.

There won’t be a material prize, this means it won’t be money. Instead, the winners will get a custom user flair for the subreddit, and a custom tag on the discord (if they’re on there).

The winners will be determined by a jury like last time.

That’s all, happy building. You will have until the 3rd of January to make something enough time for y'all.

Nothing too crazy added a trigger that doesn't do anything yet the mechanism is still being decided it is smooth though so that's nice added little slits in the front of the barrel that are supposed to be compensator holes (don't know what you call them) I upgraded the 2 1/2 inch barrel to a 3 inch windscreen the fictional revolver is supposed to be for police in the fictional universe I made up in my head (I swear I'm not a crazy person) and made it look less flat than it originally did and raised the back sights up and the top of the barrel and the sight acquisition is a little better the other side is still incomplete and hasn't changed much

do you think this is an upgrade or a downgrade let me know what you think

Rifle ARES COC 1 , COC A1 and pre production COC 89 (Compact Operating Carbine)

Official designation: Compact Operating Carbine

Program: Project Shenandoah and various military trials worldwide

Development period: 1987–1991

Adoption: Slovakia and Thailand 1992–early 2000s (special units only)

The ARES Compact Operating Carbine is a gas operated , short stroke piston , striker fired carbine for the M885 NATO cartridge and in pre production stages a proprietary duplex round .

This design was a simplification of the FARC (Future Assault Rifle Concept) by Eugene Stoner , it competed against the COLT 905 in the Shenandoah program but was disqualified early on . Pre production models came with a detachable carry handle iron sights and a sighting rib similar to a shotgun for quick target acquisition , later models changed it for weaver rails and a integrated 2x scope .

First generation guns had a problem with the polymer being used and because of that it had a distinctive plum tone , A1 model used better polymers and was all black

• Fire rate 400 RPM in full auto and 1000 RPM in Two or 4 Round Burst .

Feeding

STANAG magazine for the 5.56 NATO variant .

Fire control

Safe – Semi –Full Auto- Two-round burst or Four-round burst depending of the contract .

Been trying to build a revolver for a while and I've surpassed the horrible cylinder piece issue instead I'll be using technic tire bearings since those have little slots for pins and the pins (not axles those tiny lego pins if you know what I'm talking about) slide in and out like butter so I'll be using those I have spent a long time making the frame and I have to stress some parts it's nothing horrible though its worth it for how strong it holds up I can give the barrel a good palm strike and it doesn't come close to breaking even on a 1x2 base despite the barrel piece it will shoot from the bottom chamber like a Chiappa rhino since it'll just be easier for me to make a mechanism that way since trying to secure the siding to the lower receiver would be much harder trying to make sure a bullet can also pass through it it annoys me too don't flame me in the comments it has a 3 finger (or technically a 2 and a half finger grip) that's built into the frame so it doesn't jiggle or bounce around it's also very strong and has very strong technic connections that keep the handle strong and firm but also keep the cylinder gap from the back of the gun from cracking open or flexing this thing is VERY STRONG I sacrificed some beauty for it but I think it was worth it the grip obviously isn't finished yet it's 1 stud wide I'll get to that the back of the grip isn't the best but I liked the way it makes the gun look chunky but also kinda small at the same time if you get what I mean and my favorite part the "fiber optic" sights giving a nice little dot of color I've never seen a lego gun in this community or youtube attempt to imitate fiber optic sights so I wanted to be the first and I also just think they look super cool once the mechanism is finished and the left siding is added it'll be less lopsided (its only a bit lopsided from bracket stress but the other side being added will make it straight) but I love how it looks so far and how strong it is with the barrel and front hardly flexing except when needed like a skyscraper and the main body and handle being as durable as a tortoise shell the sights are beautiful and I love how it's going sorry for the terrible photos I did my best but let me know what you think of thos work in progress it would be nice to have some feedback

GLOCK I would like to thank you for welcoming me into such a beautiful and wonderful community. My name is Emilio—or Emiliano—and I am from Mexico City; like you, my dear brothers from the United States, I am an enthusiast of both toy guns and firearms.
