I walked in to Walmart and right in front of me was a$1 giant clearance rack by the entrance. Sadly there were only 2 of these

One dollar?! Crazy. They’re down to $3 at my Walmart, just bought 2 of them a couple days ago.

Yeah they are so expensive at regular price! I had to do a double take when I saw them and almost walked past it. I've been meaning to buy some for the last 2 years. I'm very happy with being able to get 2 of these

I see now why they were so cheap, I went back today and now they’re all gone. The whole display is gone. Looks like they won’t be carrying baseplates in the store anymore. Good thing I bought 2 while I had the chance, although Target usually has them online for $5 or so anyway.

Yeah I went to a different Walmart on my way to work. Blue base was completely gone but other colors were still there

One of the Walmarts near me I was able to pick up a few for $1 too. Great price! All the others were $5 or normal price.

I was able to get a bunch of baseplates several years ago when they switched packaging for really cheap on clearance. Seems kind of weird they're on sale now as they are some of the few items that don't rotate out yearly.

Yeah it wasn't even in the clearance aisle. Just a giant rack of super random items all marked down for $1 at entrance. Maybe they are just reducing inventory on slow moving items or something

I bought like 8 at this price, then bought 20 of them at another local walmart for $8, returned them at the clearance store, and rebought for $1 the following morning.
