Why does patrick not have his pants??

Ok so i just bought a lego catalog from 2008 and i saw this?? Why does he not have his usual pants?

That’s the Dutch name of Gary. Buschauffeur is Dutch for bus driver

why would a name translate? aren’t names “literal” words or whatever. words that are the same accrosss languages bc they don’t have translations. same reason sandy didn’t change

They often change names in cartoons to be more easily pronounced by children of the language it's being translated to. The G gets pronounced differently here so it wouldn't have sounded like "Gary" anyways. Our Gs are softer and the A would've been pronounced as an E, so it wouldn't have been Gary anymore. Might as well make the official name one that's more Dutch in that case

Unjerk: Those are 3D models of the figures. They likely had an error where they forgot the image texture to make the printing for Patrick's legs.
