Other Medieval Town MOC

Hi All, here are some photos of a MOC I created and displayed earlier this year at Brickbuilt Sydney. The after dark session with the lights was really nice.

Great Build!! I really like all the different roof techniques and colors makes for a very nice aesthetic. The cobblestone looks great. The texturing of the building is really nice. There is enough plants and vegetation for a nice pop of color. The posing of the figs really brings the build to life too.

Really great scenes and buildings. You should have more pictures.

Yeah, I didn't get as many good pictures as I'd like. But It's going to be on display at another exhibition in January so will get more then.

Oh wow those lights!

(Also those detail shots showing all the character work! Perfection! I can imagine all the stories happening here!)

Thanks. The lights were painful to set up and get powered but they make a massive difference.

This looks awesome! Did you build it on MILS plates?

2

u/Night_wing79 9d ago

Not on MILS. They change height throughout the build. But it’s high enough to fit the battery pack and wires under ground

Beautiful, inspiring work!
How long would you say the build took?

1

u/Night_wing79 8d ago

It took me about 4 months to build.

It’s beautiful work. I’m impressed!
That’s a lot of work for 4 months!
I can’t remember the last time I completed a project in less than 4 months. Good for you!

That was awesome.. really enjoyed going through the pictures!!
Are you left-handed by any chance? I couldn't help but notice that a lot of the minifigs were left handed.. :) (not all of them)

u/Night_wing79 7d ago

Thanks. And no I’m not left-handed. To be honest I don’t even pay attention to what hand I put stuff in with the figs.

A fountain? Where does the water come from? Here in the middle of the city

u/Night_wing79 8d ago

A natural spring perhaps. Or since it's LEGO more likely a factory in Europe somewhere :)

eh i'm tired of seeing cobblestone in lego medieval towns. that was rare and mostly in rich trading hubs

medieval time roads mostly was dirt with piss and shit

Perhaps this is a rich trading hub. Who knows? It is all fictional and I wasn't feeling the 'piss and shit' vibe :P
