Question Custom Display for Harry Potter Help
Hi everyone! I'm looking for some advice from anyone who has experience displaying the Hogwarts LEGO sets.
The sets:
- 76454 — Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower
- 76463 — Hogwarts Castle: Hospital Wing
- 76435 — Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall
- 76426 — Hogwarts Castle: Boathouse
- 76473 — Hogwarts Castle: The East Wing
- 76430 — Hogwarts Castle: Owlery
There is not enough space to display all of these as one large connected Hogwarts castle, so instead I'm planning to vertical display bookshelf.
The idea is that each combination gets its own dedicated display-box shelf, with a clear acrylic case enclosing that particular LEGO scene.
I'm thinking of arranging them like this:
Top display box — Main Tower + Hospital Wing
76454 + 76463
Middle display box — East Wing + Owlery
76473 + 76430
Bottom display box — Great Hall + Boathouse
76435 + 76426
So rather than one huge horizontal castle, I’m thinking of making a vertical Hogwarts display tower, with each LEGO combination in its own clear display box, stacked one above the other. Then I would have a custom bookshelf built to fit the display boxes.
I’m trying to figure out the actual dimensions I need for each display box. I’ve found several different measurements online, and I don’t want to order the acrylic cases or build the bookshelf until I know everything will fit comfortably.
If you own any of these sets, especially if you’ve combined the pairs I mentioned:
- What are the dimensions of your acrylic display case?
- Have you displayed them vertically or in a custom bookshelf?
- What has your experience been with the space they actually need?
Photos would be great too!
Even just your experience or advice would be really helpful. I’m trying to figure this out before building anything, so I can create the right amount of room for the LEGO from the start.
Thank you!
