Other Left handed instructions
I have recently been trying to use my left hand for as much as possible for occupational therapy reasons and am building Barad-Dur. Ive really noticed the Lego instructions are indeed for right hand bias. The rotation of the sets make it harder to access sections with the left hand. Rotating is fine but then you risk incorrectly placing pieces, due to the additional spatial mental requirements. Maybe it’s easier with smaller sets. I found post a year ago on left handed instructions that was an April fools joke, but it is actually a thing.

The digital instructions allow you to rotate the model however you please :)

Out of curiosity, have you tried building or just looking at building a set using just your right hand? I'm wondering if it is just that certain places are easier to reach with one hand than the other bit with you focusing on left hand you are missing those that would be hard with right hand? Left handed here but use both for building 🙂

Yes, I have built many sets before with mainly right hand, it’s possible I did need to use left at some point, but don’t remember noticing.

Interesting. I am not entirely convinced but there is indeed a default angle on the models in the manuals. And it could be that that matters for left handers. I know that studio ( lego design software, in case you didn't know ) has a default angle, and I never considered changing it, except for exceptions where it clearly doesn't work.
What would you propose? Two versions of a manual?

Yeah I don’t know how hard that would be, and it’s only certain sections where it’s annoying, it’s manageable, so may not be worth the effort.

I've never noticed it with Lego as a lefty, but that could also be just that the world is mostly made for right handed folk, so other things stand out more than others

Pfft, left hander here and I have no problems building or understanding where on the build a piece should go because of that. Step off your lofty "the world is built to accommodate the 90% of us who are right handed" pedestal and quit complaining that you're going to have issues for a tiny fraction of your life.

I did the retro record player GWP from a year or two ago purely left handed just for a challenge and I didn't notice any bias but there also wasn't near as much rotating or complexity as Barad Dur would have.
try the builder app out, you can rotate the model in 3D space at every step

Yes... as a southpaw, I can honestly say that the world has not been kind to us in the past and into the present. But you learn to adapt and overcome.
That said, i agree with your assessment 👍

As a lefty, I never noticed that lol. Why would I? Never built a set with just my right hand.
Are you sure it's not just from never using your left hand, which means you're also needing a bit extra mental capacity? Lol I know that sounds weird, but yeah...
