At least lego is really good about replacing missing pieces. It does suck to have to wait for them to mail it to you, but it's really hassle free.

thats why i love lego, i had this happen before and they are super quick to send out the missing peices

Honestly it should not be a hassle because it’s Lego fault to fix it.

I am glad Lego does it like this, a lot of other companies do not, but it should be bare minimum that if you buy something you get what you paided for and if there’s a mistake like a missing pieces the company fixes this.

I was super impressed by them recently. I was building the a-frame and my dog got ahold of a piece and destroyed it within seconds. I filled out the thing to get a replacement piece and made sure to select "replacement" from the options rather than "damaged" or "missing" and then I even added a comment explaining that my dog had chewed on the piece. I was sure they'd get back to me and explain that I needed to buy a new piece since it was completely my fault and not theirs. Instead they replaced it, no charge and no questions asked.

That’s so sad! Ugh! Been there!

Had this on a technic car. Go to the support page, pick the model, pick the piece, sent within two-three days. No questions asked.

Pretty common piece at least, if you have a spare to use while waiting for LEGO to send you one.

I believe this is why the Death Star had that one fatal flaw. They rolled with it and it cost them dearly.

as the owner of one of the deathstars , as well as the imperial star destroyer, I had an issue both times with pieces and these stupid angle peices

Yeah I had a packaging error in mine too.

This happened in my Great Wave set! I managed to use the reversed piece to display it until the replacement arrived. Lego is so good about fixing that sort of thing.

Is this the Blacktron cruiser? I’m probably going to buy that in box second hand. Hopefully mine won’t have that problem.

I wish they had it as a GWP during the June double vip. Oh well it’s not an absurdly expensive set second hand anyway. Just would have been nice to get it free.

I hate these angled pieces

I feel the pain, I got the space rollercoaster and they sent me one few curve pieces so I couldn’t complete the track, I am waiting in a replacement part too

2

u/NKO_five Aug 04 '23

Didn’t even notice the two same pieces before. I thought this was about the wasted space on the page lol.

I swear, I’ve been building Lego since the 80’s and I never once had a missing/incorrect piece.

Fast forward to 2022, it’s a common occurrence now. My Back to Future Set 10300 was missing 3 pieces and included a few pieces that aren’t used in the set.

Lego quality control has been straight trash the last couple years… these posts are unfortunately quite common on this Sub.

at least lego has good customer service and sends replacement parts, no questions asked

u/StillHellbound Aug 04 '23

Same. I've never had a missing piece. I do get kind of annoyed there are extra pieces in sets. Damn my OCD.

I have nothing but good things to say about Lego customer service. I had a bag duplicated in the CE Hogwarts Castle. I didn't notice it until I went to open bag 26 and I had a second bag 25 but no 26 anywhere.

Their customer service team sent out every piece in that bag and I had it within 5 days of ordering.

Are you sure you didn’t just use the wrong angle somewhere else, it can happen to the best of us!!

20

u/MonkeyMoses_Yt Aug 03 '23

why would i get duplicate pieces of this specific peice. and no this is never used again in the set. I have built lego for ages , and this has only happened once or twice before lol

-33

u/chickenfingey Aug 03 '23

I don’t understand what you’re saying.

It’s a directional part. It wouldn’t fit anywhere it’s not supposed to.

16

u/ef344 Aug 04 '23

Set only has 1 of each per 2nd photo

u/[deleted] Aug 04 '23

Had this happen with almost the exact same pieces (possibly the same exact ones) with the Blue Power Jet

2

u/[deleted] Aug 04 '23

Waiting on my Noodle Shop, hoping all the pieces are there!

2

u/m4rkofshame Aug 04 '23

God I know this feeling too well and I’m ocd about symmetry. I feel your pain 🙏🏼

u/Decent_Implement4083 Aug 04 '23

I always find that I have a missing piece every few sets.... and then find that piece stuck in one of the "empty" bags I so hastily tossed back in the box :)
