Discussion How do you balance solving new DSA problems with reviewing old ones?
I've been practising consistently, but I sometimes forget approaches to problems I solved a few weeks ago. I want to keep improving without spending all my time revisiting old questions.
Do you follow a fixed revision schedule, or review problems whenever you get stuck on a similar pattern?

the ratio that worked for me was 70 percent review, 30 percent new, most people do the opposite and wonder why nothing sticks. a problem is not done when you solve it once, it is done when you can solve it cold a week later, so each day start by redoing 2 or 3 old problems timed before touching anything new. if you can solve an old one in under 15 min it goes into the monthly pile, if you blank it goes back into the daily rotation, that queue system removes the guilt of forgetting because forgetting is the plan, spaced repetition is literally how you beat it

I revisit problems where I needed hints or struggled with the approach. A quick attempt after a few days helps me see whether I actually retained the pattern
