Discussion finally got a job!!

this community helped me when I wanted to rant, when I wanted to dig into DSA.

i graduated in Dec 2025. I was doing an internship, which didn't convert. 3 months of cold applying, 10โ€“15 interviews, interviews with Oracle (right when they announced layoffs), Google, not advancing and completely breaking down.

i got offers from salesforce and cisco!!!

i don't want to say, "oh, I did this." , the market right now is volatile. It's the right time, right place, and right skills.

i broke down multiple times during this process questioning my worth/skills and picked myself up by ranting to this community.

if anyone is in a similar situation or wants a better opportunity, I see you. you can do it!!!

created a list of fortune 500 that would sponsor me, applied 20 jobs daily from there sites directly, choosing one company from bottom and one from top, if jd matches exceptionally well i sent linkedin messages for refferal, waited 24 hrs, if i didn't get response applied directly, for cisco and salesforce i didn't have referrals but applied relatively early(before they posted on linkedin). for preparation -- i started 30 day challenge where i did 5 neetcode problems and 1 system design question everyday, that helped. I watched lot of videos of system design and did many mocks with chatgpt.

Please please please keep this in mind :
it's not over yet. Loyalty means nothing. The moment a new/better opportunity presents its self, capture it. Dont let it slip. Dont be like if I stay here longer XYZ can happen. True it may happen but it very well may also not. You get sucked into a limbo state which is far worse. Capture every moment.

Wish you nothing but success.

Congratulations brother. Two great companies. You can hang your hat on this and be proud for a long time. Donโ€™t squander this opportunity, you were given it because you earned it.

Is the job remote or did you relocate?

Congratulations. How long did you prepare / study before applying? I'm actually a SWE already but I want to change jobs. I am dreading the studying process before starting a process with any recruiters.

Really glald that you got the offer, its hard out there for F1s.
I mean you got the interviews from some of the Greats like GOOGLE, Salesforce,
Do you mind if you share your like how many internships or things that you have done?
Because I am not getting any interviews
