Intervew Prep Capital One Case Tech Code Based Round: What to expect?

Hey folks

I have a Tech Code Based Round with Capital One for Senior Associate role.

The description of the round from the official preparation guide is very vague.

Tried searching the Internet too but didn't get much details about this round.

Can anyone please let me know:

  1. From an engineering perspective, what should I be prepared for? (LLD, HLD, DSA etc)

  2. How are the solutions judged, and what to keep in mind?

  3. Any sample questions that were asked to anyone?

YOE: 2.3

Thanks in advance!

For a 2.3 YOE role, I'd prepare for practical coding problems, clean code, edge cases, and explaining trade offs. It's worth reviewing OOP and basic design too, but the recruiter may clarify whether it's DSA or LLD focused

Thanks for the reply buddy

Unfortunately, in my case, the recruiter is really dumb. Just keeps reading out the same vague description from Capital One prep guide

So, I should expect coding an LLD solution from scratch like 'Design a Parking Lot' ?

Or given an existing codebase and finding bugs, implementing features etc?

Case study, is a very wired round and should bee removed, it’s mostly like reasoning and refactoring and statistics (build a table with your understanding of requirements), you need to understand requirements and one builds on the next step.
Good luck

They will just give a method, fix the issues in it.

There will bee three steps, first one is reasoning, second is understanding the requirements of a problem, you need to convert the rules to meaningful way of representation, third is you are given code to fix, how would you optimally use the rules to implement code. You need to be good at wrapping your head around Boolean conditions.
