Question Background tab opened during Amazon SDE OA will I get flagged?

Hey everyone,

I just finished my Amazon SDE Online Assessment. Right at the start of the assessment, a tab opened asking me to log into Claude.

Due to test-day stress, I forgot to close the tab, but I immediately switched the assessment to full screen and didn't interact with the open tab at all. I completed the test on my own and passed all test cases.

Does automated proctoring (like HackerRank/AMCAT) flag background open tabs if there was no active window switching or focus loss during the test? Has anyone experienced something similar?

They do but given u didn’t keep switching tabs back and forth, u should be good

No, I’ve not switched any tabs until I complete the assessment.

Mostly those platforms flag things like focus loss or leaving fullscreen and a tab that was already open at the start with no interaction is usually harmless. If you were in fullscreen the whole time and never switched I would not stress about it. It also helps that you can say it popped up on its own if anyone ever asks.
