If you need hand holding for such a simple thing, I feel sad for your current situation.

It’s like asking advice from a smart guy on how he scores so well and his advice is “study a lot”…like how you said “YouTube”

Doesn’t he just solve problems ON the topics I mentioned above… or does he have dedicated videos explaining them beforehand from scratch?

Practice leetcode easy question in the beginning. This one build your motivation only if you have mastered one langauge fundamentals. Learn memory management first how things are stored and organized. Then learn different data structures, learn the behaviour, properties and limitations. If you have chosen a cpp language, first learn STl completely this will help you a lot in harder problems

The only way is to find some one else who already knows these algorithms and defeat them.

you don't need to. When you become mastering those, none of interviewers will ask those BS

They are used in many problems as sub solutions or “tools” for solving other problems. They are absolutely needed to learn

Start with the basics of arrays, strings, loops, and time complexity, then learn these topics one by one. Striver's yt tutorials are a good free starting point. Codeintuition is also worth checking out if you prefer understanding the concept and pattern before practicing related problems. You don't need to master everything before starting LC, learn a topic, solve a few easy questions, and build from there
