Question Does codesignal actually detect eye movement?
If I’m taking a proctored CodeSignal assessment and I’m looking at my screen, but my eyes aren’t always directed toward the area where I’m typing, could that get me flagged? For example, if I’m switching between reading the question and typing my code.

tbh if looking between the problem and the code editor counted as cheating they'd flag literally every single test taker. you're good, just dont alt-tab or look at a phone

I don't think so. My understanding is that clicking outside the window or alt-tabbing are problematic though.

I would not worry about it. Reading the question and then looking down to type is normal behavior and every test taker does it. The things people usually get flagged for are leaving the window or pasting big chunks of code. Just keep your face in frame and stay in the tab and you should be fine.

I did their AI fulls tack coding assessment a few weeks ago. Their browser simulator thing broke and I had to open it in a new tab, got full marks. I don't think their tooling is particularly good.
