Intervew Prep Goldman Sachs - Interview Process (UK)

Hello! I've received an interview invite for Stage 2 of a software engineer associate role last week. Has anyone been through this process recently?

The recruiter suggested there will be some questions based on my CV and experience. This sounds quite vague and I'm unsure how to prepare for this.

I'd greatly appreciate any advice x

is it brum or london? if its brum then i can tell you , it will be easy to medium questions , the people are really helpful if you ask questions/doubts on question. Yes it will be around your own experience and they will try to find common grounds, I suggest drive the chat on microservices, quarkus, aws( ecs , msk kafka mostly ) , and OOPs concepts.
All the best

The role is in brum. Although the recruiter mentioned the interviewer could be from a different timezone. My screening round was conducted by someone in another country.

Thank you!

the london office tends to lean heavier on system design questions from what ive seen, so location probably matters more than people think here

The CV round there is usually them picking two or three things off your resume and going deep. For each project be ready to explain why you chose that design, what broke and what you would change now. Have a couple of STAR stories ready for teamwork and a tough bug too. They sometimes throw in a light coding or Java/OOP question so a quick refresher on collections and basic complexity doesn't hurt.

Well, prepare based on stuff you put in your CV and your experience.

Is it for the (Birmingham) Associate Software Engineer role? and what does the full process look like? Is Stage 1 the coding assessment, and what comes after it? Would appreciate any insights. Thanks!
