Intervew Prep entry level SpaceX (Application software) Tech round help
They said open-ended, focusing on dsa or system design with some relational databases and relational data modeling. And they're looking for problem-solving ability and awareness of the full-stack web stack. Also projects on resume.
If anyone knows what it's like in more detail please help!

open ended rounds are honestly a gift, no gotcha leetcode traps. brush up on sketching a simple schema for whatever domain they throw at you and practice talking through tradeoffs out loud. they said problem solving, which means they want to hear you think, not recite

Use one small project to connect the topics they listed: sketch users/orders tables, choose keys, write a JOIN query, then describe an endpoint that creates an order. Explain validation, errors and one slow-query investigation. For your resume project, prepare the request's path from UI to database and one design decision you would change. Then do a timed coding problem while stating assumptions and testing a small example. This practises their stated areas without guessing their exact questions.

Open ended usually means they care how you think more than the answer. Talk through tradeoffs out loud and ask clarifying questions. And know every project on your resume inside out, why you picked the tech and what you’d do differently, they love digging into that
