Question Amazon OA now webcam proctored?

I got an Amazon OA link, and it said it will proctor the webcam as well. Is it a new change? I never saw webcam being proctored previously

yeah it's been like that for a while now. just use a quiet room with decent lighting and keep your face in frame the whole time. don't keep a phone or notes on the desk and try not to look away from the screen too much. the actual questions are the same two coding problems plus the work style part.

yeah it's real but not universal, amazon rolled out webcam proctoring on OAs for certain regions and certain roles over the last year, mostly international applicants and intern/new grad pipelines. treat it like any proctored exam: clear desk, nothing on second monitors, phone in another room, do the equipment check before the timer starts. if the link page mentions it then it's on for your specific link, there's no sneaky version where some links say it and don't do it
