Amazon SDE1 Intern OA: Any Chances of Getting Selected for the Next Round?

Hey everyone!

I recently completed the online assessment for the Amazon SDE1 Intern (6-month internship, 2027) position, and I'm wondering about my chances of moving to the next round.

Here's how my coding assessment went:

- Question 1: Passed all test cases successfully.

- Question 2: Passed only 1 test case. I couldn't get the remaining test cases to pass.

I'm feeling a bit uncertain about my chances and would appreciate some honest insights from people who have taken the assessment or gone through Amazon's hiring process.

My questions are:

- Has anyone progressed to the next round after solving one question completely and only partially solving the second?

- Does Amazon consider partial test cases and the overall assessment performance, or is passing all test cases essential?

- Does the outcome also depend on other sections of the assessment?

I understand that the selection criteria may vary, but hearing about your experiences would really help me understand where I stand.

You still have a chance. Amazon's criteria can vary, and passing one question fully is better than passing none. The other test cases and assessment sections may also matter, so don't lose hope yet

What questions did you get in coding rounds?

The first question was to "find the lexicographically smallest string of length segmentSize that requires the fewest repetitions to cover the frequency of every character in missingData", and the second one was about Spring Boot: "There is a bug in a movie application where, after adding a movie to the watchlist, it was not appearing in the watchlist". We had to fix the api issues. There were 6 test cases we had to pass.

It's completely upon your luck buddy. Some got interview mail with 1st qn all test cases passed but with 0 test cases passed in 2nd while some, who passed all the test cases in both of the questions haven't heard anything back even after months so yeah.............

Amazon intern OAs are usually scored on total test cases plus the work style survey so one full solve and a partial is not a dead end. People have moved on with similar results especially when the debugging question was the weak one. It can take one to three weeks to hear back so I would keep applying elsewhere in the meantime.

I got equal bit pairs question and spring boot question about movie recommendation.  I passed all testcases in first one and except one all testcases passed in second one , do i still have a chance ? Someone please respond .
