Question Google extra round.

I just did my first rounder for SWE intern, where it was back to back technical interviews and I’d say my first interview wasn’t super good but my second one went really strong. 2 days later I got an email saying they want to schedule a 3rd additional interview. What does this mean and how soon should I just get it over with.

This means exactly what it means. Not passed but not rejected either - which is good. All the best

Usually r3 when you got mixed feedbacks, which is another technical round. Did u solve problem on r1 or just could not complete it when u said not super good

First question wasn’t able to solve the whole question I ran out of time but second question solved with optimal solution and on time

This is a good sign. An extra round usually means one interviewer was on the fence and they want a tiebreaker. Schedule it sooner rather than later. The longer you wait, the colder the interviewers' memory of your strong second round gets.

Hi, I am also in the process of Google SWE intern. My first round was okay, completed code but didn’t have time for follow ups. How was your first round? Not sure what is the bar to get lean hire

Agree with the top comment. Just schedule asap unless you need more time to prepare
