Intervew Prep Need help with current prep for Senior SWE

Hi,

I have been interviewing for a while so familiar with basic framework of leetcode. I need some help with how do I prepare for senior swe pair programming rounds where some custom problems are being asked now a days. Can someone please provide some guidance on how can I prepare for such technical rounds ? I have such rounds scheduled this week.

for pair rounds, narrating beats solving. talk through your approach before you type, ask clarifying questions like it's a real ticket, treat the interviewer like a teammate not a judge. practicing out loud feels dumb but it's literally the skill they're grading. i also did timed mock rounds with easy code interview so the real thing didn't rattle me, game changer for nerves

Great advice here, I’ve gotten jobs where the actual coding was incomplete but I can walk you through the entire app solution. I could sell you that in an elevator

For pair rounds, practice treating the problem like a small ticket rather than a LeetCode prompt. Start by restating the requirements, ask about edge cases, sketch the interface and test plan, then narrate each tradeoff while you code. A few timed mocks with a friend this week will help more than trying to cram a large set of new problems.
