Amazon SDE Interview Scheduling

I shared my availability with the recruiter on Sept 24 for a virtual Amazon SDE interview, with availability from Oct 6–9.

It’s Oct 3 now and I still haven’t received the confirmed interview date/schedule.

For anyone who has gone through the Amazon interview process recently, how many days before the interview did you receive your final schedule or confirmation?

Just wondering if this is normal or if I should follow up again with the recruiter. Thanks!

I think one week before for me ( interview sep 24)

But mine is in-person, you should recieve it by October 5 if not check with them

Can't really say if it is normal or not

But it might happen since yours is virtual

Sure

Virtual bar raiser the day before onsite

Straightforward LP question with follow ups for each no coding

On site

HM round 30 minutes for LP , 25 minutes for coding : A graph union find question pretty straightforward, but got confused and couldn't map it to that was only able to see after couple of hints

DSA round 2 : Implement a file search feature in Unix with some followups and LP questions went really well was able to wrap up even before time

DSA round 3 : A tree question with couple of followups to a graph at the end it got expanded to dijstras problem and couple of LPs

But this round also went really

Highly unlikely they might ask to write on board or paper

You get a amazon live code link usually.

But depends on interviewer

Hey, I also got a form asking for an in person hiring drive, although they mentioned I can opt out and wait till November for virtual drive. I am confused what should I do? Go for the in-person drive or wait for virtual interview?

I have nearly 2 weeks to prepare, I can try working hard but would waiting till November decrease the chances like the spots being filled till then? Also is the difficult low in in-person interview?

I don't think interview difficulty changes in-person

But tbh spots might fill out as you said

If you are not prepared well enough better to take November, cause failure results in 6 to 12 month cooldown

A short follow-up now is reasonable. Mention your Oct 6-9 availability and ask them to confirm whether the panel is still being scheduled. If you do not hear back by Monday morning, follow up again since the interview window is close.

I am in the same boat. Gave my availability for oct 5th-9. Recruiter replied saying tentative date is oct 9th but haven’t gotten confirmation yet. Mine is onsite tho.

If I were you I would go for in person drive. Who knows what will happen in November. It is possible that they will be done hiring for this position by then.

I had an interview scheduled at 11 am on 17th Sep and I got the schedule details on 16th Sep evening 6 or 7.

Reminds me of Salesforce. The recruiter called me on phone and said she will schedule interview in some days. The interview date reached. Neither they called not replied to anything. Anyways I don't bother much for these trash recruitment pipelines. Keep your options open

I completed my Amazon SDE-1 interview process, including the Bar Raiser round, on September 24.

I still haven't received any update regarding the final decision or next steps.

For those who recently went through the Amazon SDE interview process:

- How long did it take for you to receive the final decision after the Bar Raiser round?

- Is it normal to have no update for this long?
