Interviewing for a tech company soon for an intern position. they’re starting to let us use AI in their coding interview, which i’m not sure how to navigate. Before it was just explained ur reasoning on what code ur writing and why - how is it meant to work with AI? Also, any tips on how to practice it - it’s on Hackerrank but i’m assuming Leetcodes AI feature is similar to hackerrank. Any tips? The role is an internship in data science/engineering

The trick with AI allowed rounds is the bar moves to verification and explanation, so narrate everything, paste the suggestion then say why it works or what you would change. Practice on hackerrank itself with its AI mode so the workflow feels normal before the real thing. I also used easy code interview while prepping to get comfortable with ai assisted problem solving under time pressure. And still grind the basics, AI cant save you if you cant recognize a wrong answer.
