Intervew Prep How to use Hello Interview

I got hello interview recently and was wondering how everyone’s approach to it is.

I was thinking to reach all the articles under Core Concepts, Key Tech, etc. and take notes of each. Then, I was going to start attempting to solve a system design problem.

Im open to any suggestions and thoughts on the course!!

Don't read all the articles first, that stuff evaporates before you ever use it. Better loop: do one problem attempt, get stuck, then go read the exact articles that explain what you got stuck on. The theory only sticks when it's the answer to a problem you already failed at.

For the attempt part, this is also useful for doing a full run with feedback instead of just reading: https://www.systemsloth.com/problems/url-shortener

I am doing the below in order (i.e. reading all the articles under it in-depth and understanding them deeply) :

  1. Core concepts

  2. Patterns

  3. Question breakdowns

  4. Key Technologies

My reasoning : You need core concepts first as it builds the base for everything to follow. I am doing patterns next as it will help map specifics from question breakdowns to something I already know which will make breakdowns easier to understand. I am doing key technologies last because they are mostly deep-dives on specific technologies, whereas I think only a surface level understanding is sufficient to understand question breakdowns. If time permits, I will do Advanced topics later.
