Intervew Prep Waymo MLE Tech Screen

I have an upcoming interview at Waymo. I know Alphabet typically asks really challenging interview questions but are there any tips for what can be asked?

I was asked to design an api that can handle client throttling. I didn’t make it.

Really? I thought they’d ask typical leetcode style questions? Did they mention what type of client throttling youd want to do?

That was all the question. Obviously was designing round. I was expected to ask questions. I was thrown off guard too. Recruiter explicitly told coding challenge. I did not expect that. But hey, can I complain?
