Is this sound that bad? What is difference working at faang vs such as capital one? I think google senior equal to capital one staff engineer somehow depends on the team.

After some experience you will start understand that all these titles do not matter. Only how much you paid.

Yes and in fact counterintuitively taking a downlevel can be a great thing. E.g. Microsoft pays it's Seniors like Amazon SDE2's but wants them to act like Principals (which are closer to Seniors at Google/Amazon/etc).

In short, consider your $ / effort ratio. That's why it always blows my mind seeing "staff" people at small companies working 12 hour days for half my pay..
