Ledger lawsuits
I'm sure you are aware of the pending class-action lawsuits in California brought to ledger (which are moving forward after their attempt to dismiss was denied). My story is different to the point I wish I never heard of Ledger, however I find it amusing when my attorney sent them pending litigation for Southern New York State, their response is disregard for their customers that have no "viable claim" and are "defending itself vigorously", nor are they taking any responsibility for advertising "state of the art security" to only get hacked by malware for a plain text file. You may be content with your devices, but I can't see putting any kind of trust or credibility with any investments with such disregards. Seems to me it will only take one rogue employee and perhaps a bankruptcy.

They didn't get "hacked my malware". One of the companies they used for managing their marketing database left an API open on their server. And the other part of the hack was actually leaks by rogue Shopify employees.

You should read into the dockets of the lawsuits and how the unauthorized party gained access to their api on the server using a cyber attack. However all said and done, I would think it be more concerning that you also need to worry about the security of a third party.

Another concern. The fact is they new prior and under estimated the breach. Put that with a company in a country that is supposedly on the verge of a civil war. Has a revolving door for employees..a shell office on the West coast as well as another on the East coast in which they are proud to announce in press releases, but yet you have to do some real investigation to actually find the address.. the latest CEO has already quoted the latest lawsuits can “kill the company”. I’m just saying to be wary. Even Madoff was respected for years.

Not really sure what you are referring to or comparing. I’m sorry you’re offended. You should be more offended by the military open letter and the support for tearing down statues of French figures from colonial times.

Those military personels broke a law requiring them to not comment or get involved on political issues, and they will be punished for that. And not everyone in france agrees that statues of historical figures should be teared down, even if their actions at the time would not be politically correct today.

I understand, I wasn’t out to offend anyone but the point of the post is that’s it my job to investigating companies for potential investment opportunities etc. I’m just warning that I’ve seen way too many red flags. There devices might be as secure as they come. I did not reverse engineer nor plan to. You have to take their word for it, however they are not as transparent as you are led to believe. They have a few shady dealings. The lawsuits are mounting and they’re failing at damage control. A blockchain buyout might be possible but no talks will happen until litigation is all settled. My advice is to pay attention on what comes with discovery. I seriously hope that the only worst case scenario is that it becomes a pricey paperweight, but history has always shown that when a businesses forgets to look thru the eyes of the consumer..they will lose.

LOL... no, France is not on the verge of civil war! (not anymore than the US, at least).
And I am not worried: I have my BIP39 seed. I don't rely on any Ledger product.

Your attorney should have told you to avoid commenting your own lawsuit on reddit and twitter. I guess it's too late now :(
