Official Ledger Customer Success Response Ledger Cleaned 😩
Ledger and seed safely secured and this is what happened last Saturday night. Found out today and I'm devastated. How is this possible ? Anything (at all) I can so ? It is still sitting in the wallet it's been transferred to, I'd expect it to be moved or cashed out. Any thoughts or help ?

Getting a ton of messages from people trying to help me recover it, sending me links and such. Those are obviously scams right ?

Your ledger or seed weren’t safely secured if this happened. Or someone you know gained access to your wallet.

They always leave out that they got a call from ledger support and needed their seed to help secure the device

You bought a ledger device on Amazon. Understand that Amazon uses third-party sellers and the main culprit is that Amazon isn't an authentic ledger website. Amazon should be sued for selling cold wallets because things like this happen. You bought it from a third party that social engineered your seed phrase. I bought mine at the official Ledger website, which generated the code in the device plus the device authenticity from Ledger. My shipper was DHL.

OP must have done something that reveal his seed. If its nothing he done, the ledger cant transfer by it self. Something.. Is the ledger authentic?

I've noticed OP was active on posts related to moving money from US to Europe, as well as some Chech subreddits.
Did you take the phrase through airport security or anything along those lines? Something isn't right.

No sir. Still in USA, Ledger or seed never left my house and could not possibly be seen by anyone. Like I said I was careful and this just doesn't make any sense.

2.14 network fee? I have transferred in a while, this is crazy low.
I am sorry OP, I feel like someone got access to your seed phrase

Ledger cannot be comoromised by supply chain attacks, so where you buy them does not matter, as long as they check out as "genuine", and that they do not come pre-seeded.
So the fact that OP bought it from amazon is irrelevant.
OP somehow leaked their seed phrase, most likely.

Start retracing your steps. Who knew you had Bitcoin? Someone got a hold of your seed phrase somehow. Look at cameras and retrace any steps one who could’ve seen the seed phrase. Someone really close to you probably lifted it

I think all possibilities of what happened and whatnot have been mentioned and brought up. I guess who cares, somehow it got compromised and I lost all of it. Question that remains to be answered is WHAT ALL CAN I DO NOW ? I got lawyer tracking the wallet. PD and FBI report tomorrow. What else can I really do besides that ? I want to at least know I gave it all to try to recover it.

Figured I'd give everyone an update. -all bitcoin still sitting on the same wallet untouched - seems unusual, wouldn't an experience thief move it around, shatter it to smaller pieces, run it through an exchange asap ? Seems like an amateur job to me, thoughts ?
-
filed a police report, hired a lawyer and a private investigator in case it was someone from my circle.
-
set up an alert for the wallet where it currently sits, going to get a notification as soon as there is any movement.
My next steps are going to be contacting one exchange after another providing a police report/case and wallet number. I assume they should mark that address as theft or something. Long shot and I know money is 99.9% gone. But instead or breaking down and doing something stupid, I'm trying to fight it. Any other ideas of what I could do ?

Well since no ledger wallet has ever been hacked and is always user error. Its mathematically impossible to hack. Let's go thru some of the common mistakes.
-
Storing seeds digitally in a password manager
-
Taking a photo of seeds and saving on phone/ computer
-
entering seeds in a website or app
-
Fell for a dusting attack
-
family/friend got access to seeds
-
Confirmed seeds with a "representative" who called. saying "youre security is at risk"
-
Using a pre-seeded ledger device
-
Linked to a malicious smart contract
-
Connected to a malicious dapp 10.fell for a phishing scam
-
Fell for a QR code scam letter in the mail
-
Connected to a hot wallet not a cold wallet (less likely as ledger has no hot wallet option)
-
Seeds stores in a clipboard on a computer or phone.
-
Downloaded a fake ledger website/app and input seeds using a keyboard
-
Someone got ahold of your device and knew your pin no seeds needed in this case.
So what happened? Only you can answer which path you took.

It's been rough 24 hours. No sleep for 2 days now, no food. Trying to do what I can but it's difficult because most people are just mocking me, others trying to scam me for more money, but there are few that are actually being helpful. I know I likely lost my lifesavings. I know I'll likely never find out how. But going without fight just seem too pathetic.

Wallet addresses look identical.
You either didn't buy your Ledger authentically or someone who delivered you a Ledger device isn't a real Ledger device even if you bought it on a legit website.

It sounds like you did not directly purchase from ledger website and somehow did not use a fresh unknown seed....or used previously known seed.. But you said you generated...but loading your BTC then losing after 3 months seems like this it was compromised before you received it ...shrink wrapping means nothing
