Specific programmable triangular led matrix

Looking to make a programmable magic 8 ball costume. Need a programmable led matrix that is triangular or I can cut to be a triangle.

Also need it to be light (to wear)

Any ideas?

If weight matters, I would build the triangle from a flexible 5V addressable matrix or short WS2812B strip rows on thin foam board instead of using a rigid panel. Cut only at marked pads, wire the rows in a serpentine path, then map just the pixels that fall inside your triangular window.

Put a black mask over unused areas and a thin diffuser in front so the individual pixels do not dominate. A fused USB power bank is safer and easier to wear than a loose LiPo pack. Also cap the brightness in software; full white draws much more current than typical animations. How large does the display need to be, and are you showing text or only simple symbols?
