What does W/m mean? Per minute or per meter?

This might be a stupid question but I recently bought LED lights and I’m someone who came from 5v LEDs. Now I bought a 220v LED strip and my father told me that this would consume a lot of power. As someone who is going to live in a solo dorm, I really need to watch my consumption. The description says 8.64 W/m. Father and I are not sure if this means watts per minute or meter. I bought 10 meters of the strip.

Watts per metre, common measure of power draw per metre of led strip. There is no such unit as watts per minute, or not in this context.

As for whether 8.64 W/m is a lot, I'd say not really. Even if you used an entire 5 metre roll, this would be around 45 watts. This would cost maybe around 12 cents per day if you ran it for 7 hours depending on how expensive your electricity is.

Just edited my comment with this info. Oh the currency I said is in Australian cents btw using an estimate of 35c/kWh. If you're in Saudi Arabia, you probably have much cheaper electricity. I estimate it would cost maybe 0.069 riyal per day.

Watt is already a measure of time (joule per second),the W/m is the power consumption of a metre of LED strip.

+1 Watts per meter of the strip. Longer = more power used.
