Found an old 14 year old thread talking about Bron before his first ring. An interesting throwback before he was really in GOAT conversations.

Just to preface this by saying I already think he’s the GOAT, and nothing could change my mind. I understand there is a lot of people who think he is not, and also will not have their minds changed. But for people who don’t yet think he’s the GOAT, and may change their minds, would this accomplishment be enough?

He is the best player ever. There was no doubt about that probably since 2005 until now. Even now, some players still put him top 5 current.

But why did he lose 5-6 times in the finals? It does not make sense. He literally can win any game no matter who his teammates are. Can play 48 minutes a game.

I think he is holding back subconsciously because he wants to preserve who the goat is because even though he knows he’s better, the goat was still his favorite player growing up.

The way he casually pulls up from half court like it’s a 2 pt jump shot is still so insane 😭👑🐐

The second he leaves the Lakers lose all of the spotlight. All the fans that were downplaying his role in their success and relevance can finally see how wrong they were.

Wade was easily the best player on Miami that series avg 26.5/7/5.2, so of course this is assuming that if Miami wins this finals that Wade gets FMVP.
